Funny wording...the file eval.c in the Phalanx distribution doesn't actually evaluate but handles the search extensions. It's a lot bigger than that of most chessprograms I know. Phalanx has a very 'smart' search. Note the line where it finds Bxh2+...17 plys. I do think 'eval' is it's main strength ;) -- GCP
