I was a member for several years, and then didn't renew. The main benefit of membership is, of course, the ICCA Journal. This has published a number of really excellent articles over the years, but I found the ratio of useful to useless articles discouraging small. Your mileage may vary. But it seemed to me that they didn't get a lot of high quality contributions and were reduced to publishing pretty much what they got. I'd add that I agree with Bruce about having an online presence. There's no reason in the year 2000 not to have information on the Web. In fact I view the Web as a perfectly acceptable alternative to print. ICCA's journal could be delivered much cheaper and faster online. Academic journals have clung to print publication out of inertia and for the rather illogical reason that having one's results delivered online still doesn't convey the same prestige as having them come out in ink on paper. --Jon
