I think that the Israeli personality is less interested in using computers in
correspondence chess. But in the rest of the world, it is a forgone conclusion
that best programs are used. And certainly, someone who wants to win a
tournament or championship would not risk doing without it.
  And 8 years ago, even if computers were much weaker, it would have still given
a big advantage over others. You wouldn't have any silly mistakes which people
often make even in correspondence chess.
