I don't think it is. On a P200MMX, R9 reaches tipically 65k to 70k NPS,
and close to  30K on a P120. R8 hits 75K on a P200MMX and near 30K-35K
on a P120. Your figures look too small to me.

The way you load Rebel under W95 should make a difference in the size of
hashtables, not in speed.
