The Century 2.0 engine is a between version and will be only for ECTOOL and EPD2DIAG as it became time people are offered an update. It has been a good thing to do that and the results against strong humans (GM challenge, Israel League) has proven that. Because of all the work on eval I have neglected search the last 2-3 years. Not that that matters much against humans but I noticed in comp-comp you can not neglect search for such a long time without consequences. I had a good look at my direct comp-comp competitors and found out 2 things: a) an enormous jump in playing strength last year (which was noticed by only a few people here!) and b) that (a) was mainly caused by improving search. As a result Rebel Century 1.2 was born (which is about search only) and after Century 1.2 I obliged myself to work for one full year on search only as I noticed there is still a lot to gain in this area, much more than I ever imagined. So that's the story for new upcoming versions, the emphasis will be on search resulting in deeper search depths. The fact that you see different moves and scores is also search related, if the quality of selective search improves (other) better moves will be the result.
