I only saw this problem with Fritz Winboard Adapter engines. My engine also had
this problem. It occurs, if a engine sends an illegal move, or an illegal PV
path. Happens especially with pondering. It also occurs, if a engines "gives up"
and begins to calculate a new game and sends something like e2e4 when the gui is
in the old game.

You can do not much against it. It is not the fault of your hardware at all.
