No criticism intended, but I found this comment to be a bit surprising in light
of your own past experiences on Usenet and your solution to those problems.

Oh, good lord -- the (off-topic) stories I could tell about Internet nutjobs. As
the old blues song says: "In a world full of strangers, there ain't *nothing*
absurd". I'm slowly discovering that it's best to keep a relatively low profile
when dealing with the Internet. It's a weird world out there.
