Best is subjective,
Read the CCC reviews
Read Bob Pawlak's reviews
Decide for yourself what is interesting to you.

I recommend heartily Bob Pawlak's book.

The most advanced systems are the database systems like ChessBase, Bookup and
Chess Assistant. These tools also have other features like chess playing
engines. Personally, I like Chess Assistant. Bookup is nice for opening study.
 Your mileage may vary.
