I think that Junior would have done perhaps better than Fritz did in the Dutch Championship using this hardware, but this is a stronger field so we can expect Junior to fare worse. Still it will be very interesting indeed and should help assess the strength of programs. It's apparent that the Junior team has a good relationship with Kasparov, and it stands to reason that they would continue to offer the services of Junior for Kasparov to use for his home preparations in exchange for tuning advice. Just speculation, but who would have Kasparov using their machine and not take any chance for feedback?
