But I think it is not entirely clear that the other moves lose. Personally, I like forcing the bishop to move because he is guarding two squares. It's almost like two moves for the price of one. I don't like taking the pawn because of the awful formation that causes. It's also one less promotion lane to worry the enemy with, and with two pawns on that file, they can't protect each other but get in the way instead. But it is also true that computers sometimes see something we don't and even a stupid looking move can have something smart behind it.
