6k1/3p4/3rp3/8/1P6/1PK2R2/8/8 b - - id=Eugen 7.2 - Crafty;
I was looking at this endgame for awhile also. There still might
be a draw here for Crafty. Instead of Crafty's R-b6 the try R-c6+
followed by K-g7 is worth a try. White's winning hopes are is in the
game,
namely marching the b pawn and manoevering the King to the queening
position. In this line this is more time consuming and black can
advance his own pawns and king via Kg7-g6-g5. Playing black against
Rebel 8
Rebel gives itself a big plus when it sees black giving up its
rook for the b pawn but the black pawns (now advanced) will draw. Try
it and see what you discover.
