I have two computers running Bringer here , one with Windows98 one with NT4.0 and in both turning sound off works well . A very vague final idea is that you are running Windows NT and run Bringer as a user who has no write permissions to Bringer.ini under C:\WINNT . Check out the file Bringer.ini and try set sound to 0 there as Pete Galati said ( will probably be under C:\Windows for Win95/98 ) . Well, if all fails you definitely should contact Gerrit Reubold per email ( email-adress on website ) . As far as I know he is very helpful with user questions . regards. pete
