A dissassembler is a program which takes an executable file and translates it into assembler nemonics so you can examine the code to see how it works ans/or make alterations to it. There is a good commercial one called "Soft-Ice" I believe. I have never come across a decompiler, but I would expect that to do a similar job except it would have to translate the executable file into high level programming language statements, which would be much more difficult than producing assembler nemonics. I am doubtful if any exist but perhaps they do. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Roberto
