Subject: From Russia With Love Chess Position

I caught a few moments of the beginning of "From Russia With Love" last night
(on TBS I think).

In it, there is a polish national chess championship where the position is
something like the following (if someone has this movie on tape, they can get
the exact position):

[D]r3rnk1/pp2qNp1/7p/4b3/5Q2/1B6/PP3PPP/R4RK1 w

White played Nxe5+, black played Kh7, white played Qe4+ and black resigned and
commented on how strong Qe4+ was.

I was wondering why this was. Granted, white is up material (and note, I am not
sure of white's backrank, so even this is an assumption), but is that the
reason? Or is there a mate or major material gain that I cannot see.

I was hoping that someone could run their program against this and let me know.

Thanks,

KarinsDad :)
