One clarification: In the game ( from an earlier round ) between MChess and Goliath the Goliath had crashed, probably due to a hardware failure ( the K6 processor had been upgraded from 200 MHz to 233 MHz ). The position had been estimated by the tournament director and been declared a win for MChess. The Goliath team protested, and so the game was resumed at the crash position , after round 8 was finished. MChess brought the game to a winning end. Ingo Althoefer.
