I think that it is a problem of all the programs but only chessmaster tells us thinking lines(I know no other programs that do it) Chessmaster6000(ss=10) searched for more than 10 minutes the line h6 Rxb5 hxg7 Kb8 g8Q It is clear that white is winning this line so there is no reason to search this line for a long time. The fact that chessmaster does it only prove that program have a lot to learn about search. I think that it will be also better if it will be possible to tell chessmaster6000 during search that h6 Rxb5 hxg7 Kb8 is illogical for black and to tell it to go to search other lines. Uri
