This inquiry is directed to anyone interested. While playing Junior 6 at 40/2 a peculiar thing happened. On the 21st move, with 1:05:00 left on its clock, Junior 6 reached depth 16 and contentedly let the clock run down and expire without making a move. The program was not in 'infinite analysis' mode and the program did not freeze up. Any thoughts? Is this an aberration or a characteristic quirk I can expect in the future? Regards.
