No. Having six piece ending files will slow it down a good bit, because they are big and there are many of them. But if you compile for 6, and only have 5, it will realize that and it will _not_ probe when it reaches a 6 man ending as it will know that there are only 5 (or fewer) tables available. I run with the 6-piece version all the time... And I am only using 3-4-5 (compressed) now.
