I would suggest memorizing all of his games. Then, decide the place he made his mistake in each game that he lost. And in the games that he won, find additional weaknesses. Develop an overall strategy for anything he has ever played, and a secondary strategy against all known openings in case he tries something different. If you can develop a 2800 FIDE ELO before the match starts, that would be very helpful. ;-)
