Any suggestions on what tends to cause unrealistic pondering? I thought I had this "fixed", but it is back with the current version of Tinker now that I added learning. The search proceeds normally with a "reasonable" score and a seemingly reasonable PV, but then after making a move and pondering for a short time the score jumps up dramatically. Of course, after the opponent makes a move and another search starts the score reverts to the "true" value. I seem to recall some mention of this problem (either here on in Crafty somewhere).
