Crafty 17.6 on my machine (K6-2 400) takes something like 30 seconds
(it might be less -- I wasn't watching carefully enough!) to see that
Qxe8+ leaves White in trouble. After about 60 seconds it prefers Qa3+
with a fail-high.

After about 8 minutes I got bored of waiting for it to resolve the
fail-high. :-)
