I used two different computers for this small test a Celeron 433 Mhz 64 MB RAM and an AMD K6-2 500 Mhz 128 RAM. This is how the test was done, using the Big Opening Book of LG 2000 V 2.8 and allowing the LG2000 V2.8 to use the AMD K6-2 500 Mhz with white and Black using ChessMaster 6000 Default setting with the Celeron 433 Mhz, then switching computers, programs and side. For instance if LG2000 V2.8 used the AMD K6-2 500 and white side after the game was finish, I simply replay the same opening line for both, but switched the side now LG2000 V 2.8 is playing the black side instead, with the same computer and Program; Finally after two games were played, then I switched programs and Computers and repeated the process for the next two games still using the same opening line up to the end of the book, which is move number 11 in this case. You will be surprise to find out the result, if you have both programs. Now knowing what is the estimated rating of ChessMaster 6000 using this Hardware you can guess how strong LG 2000 V 2.8 really is. I will provide you the opening lines out og LG 2000 Big Opening Book up to move eleven 11. Both programs won two games each and it was not always the programs using the best computer either in this case the AMD K6-2 500 Mhz the result was split in both ways. I will simply provide you with the Opening lines and let you do you own testing. [Date "2000 06 11 "] [" Using the same opening book line up to move 11 "] [" Programs used LG 2000 V 2.8 and ChessMaster 6000 Default settings "] [" Results 2 Games each not always with the same side of the board and with the same Superior Hardware for instance the AMD K6-2 500 128 Mhz "] [" Time Control 60 moves in 15 minutes per side "] 1.Nf3 Nf6 2.e3 e6 3.d4 d5 4.Bd3 Bd6 5.0-0 0-0 6.c4 dxc4 7. Both Programs won two games each not alway with the same side or computers you will have to pit then yourself to believe it and wonder in amazement. Then I decided to test it against my CMQueen+ Settings using the same process of testing mentioned above and the Result was, won 3 Games and one draw in favor of the CMQueen+ settings. Now in previous testing between my CMQueen+ settings and the default CM6000 settings, out of 30 games using the same time control mentioned above, but allowing both settings to select their own opening out of the same opening book CM6000, the CMQueen+ W 19 L 5 D6.
