According to Thorsten ( Czub ) this WMCCC shows that the fastest programs and also the fast programs on the fastest machines are not winning automatically. Instead rather slow programs like Virtual, Shredder, MChess, and Junior are currently top contenders for the title ( Thorsten asked me: "Do you remember my long debate(s) with Bob Hyatt on this weeks ago in rgcc ?" My answer: "Yes, there must have been something..." ) Concerning the Blitz tournament on Saturday afternoon, there are good chances for round-by-round coverage on CCC: CSTal will not participate, so Thorsten would have enough time to report every few minutes. ( Question: Will 200 US-Dollar suffice to cover the expenses for all the phone calls ? ) Sorry that I did not ask for the ( intermediate ) results of the other pairings. According to Thorsten there were lots of draws today. Thorstens call was already more then 15 minutes ... He will give me another call at the end of todays round, at least he intends to do. One problem may be my connection to CCC. Just after the call the net connection was down for about 15 minutes ( the router was cycling between Frankfurt/Main and Berlin ; not directly nice to watch him doing this ... ) End of live report. Currently no part V intended.
