I enjoy ICC(Internet Chess Club) http://www.chessclub.com. I find if I avoid the guests and known morons I can have an enjoyable game without being chastised by some illiterate twit with keyboard-courage who cannot handle defeat without using blasphemy and every other shrewd thing his brain can possibly muster. I imagine this will be found on all servers. I have found a few people who I regularly play chess with and have a good time doing so. There are a lot of computer chess programmers on ICC so I find it enjoyable chatting with them from time to time. You can try the 7-day free trial and check out some other ICS's and come up with your own conclusion.
