Some chessfriends told me, they have no programs which can open .cbh-files so
the files I annonced some days before are now downloadable in pgn. Because of
the same reason the introduction texts are now in.txt-format.

I also made small corrections ina few files (mate one ply deeeper; playing out
another "b"-file) and therefore in the introduction texts (thanks again to Guy
Haworth!). The database is given twice now. Assorted by material and assorted by
the length of the path to win (from 1 to 127 moves!).
I have added another sequence of moves ("Record"). It shows the new
"tablebase-worldrecord" in DTM. It was found in the very first days of the new
millenium - independently - by Ken Thompson and Eugene Nalimov. In KRN-KNN there
is a longest DTM in 262 moves (not plies)!!
Tim Krabbe says about this moves: "The following moves are awesomely beautiful.
Playing over these moves is an eerie experience. A grandmaster does not
understand them any better than someone who has learned chess yesterday. The
knights jump, the kings orbit, the sun goes down, and every move is the truth.
Thompson named the link to them: 'Play Chess with God.'"
Have great fun with that stuff!
Helmut
