I fear that you can talk about a tendency not just certain positions. Of course
this takes time and training to find out. BTW this is why computers are always
playing in new versions in matches against strong humans.

What Van Wely did in his game against FRITZ can quite easily be prepared if you
have at least a week or two to prepare. This is a general weakness of computers.
Only -- as I wrote to Mr. Corbit -- usually GMs don't have the will and fun in
playing down such lines. Somehow it doesn't make sense. Human players are human
beings. They need creative opponents to mobilize their energy...

(It is even worse if money is in the background of such comp vs. human matches.
Then aspects of public relation come into play.)
