Does anybody has any idea how much improvement has been done to the original Chessmaster default setting so far? I own Fritz 6a and CM6000 and just finished testing my latest CMQueen+ settings with more than 100 games, with 5 mini matces of 20 games using differents time control starting at game in 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. You would not guess how close my CMQueen+ settings is compare to my Favorite and SSDF Champion P.C Software Fritz 6a. PS: The only reason I started to change settings in CM6000 two months ago, was to see how close I can really get my settings against fritz 6a. Now I am convinced that settings adjustment can account for 40 to 50 rating points. Still Fritz 6a is a hard tactical monster to beat, and it will require the next version of the King engine, plus the winner of our testing, to get into the top of the SSDF list. Pichard
