In the last two months I have been testing the CB new Young Talents. I have
found there an incredibly strong program = SOS. Look at this results and make
your own opinion.

All the Tournaments below played in CB Fritz 6 environment, with standard
opening books, in a Petium 400, 256 Meg. RAM.

Blitz Games.

Tournament 1 - Young 052000-4 - Blitz 25 minutes per game.(Posted here some
weeks ago. Only repeated to get an overall picture of SOS strength at different
time levels).

1.- Junior 6.0a 13,0/18
2.- Fritz 6a 12,0/18
3.- Hiarcs 7.32 11,5/18
4.- SOS 11,0/18
5.- Crafty 16.18 8,5/18

Tournament 2 - Sarisari 1 - Blitz 25 minutes per game.

1.- Deep Junior 6.0 7,0/10
2.- Fritz 6a 6,5/10
3.- SOS 5,5/10
4.- Crafty 17.10 4,0/10
5.- Anmon 507 4,0/10
6.- LGoliath2000V27 3,0/10

Tournament 3 - Young 06 2000 -4 - Mid-time level: 30min/40 moves + 15 min/20
moves + 15 min. finish.

1.- SOS 13,0/18
2.- Anmon 507 10,5/18
3.- Crafty 17.10 10,0/18
4.- Patzer 3.11 10,0/18
5.- Phalanx XXII 9,5/18
6- LGoliath2000-2 8,5/18
7.- Comet B-20 8,5/18
8.- Ikarus 8,0/18
9.- Gromit 3.1 8,0/18
10.-Exchess3.11 4,0/18

Tournament 4 - New WB 3 - Mid-time level: 20 min. 40 moves + 20 min. 40 moves +
10 min. finish.

2.- Goliath Light 7,0/10
3.- AnMon 507 4,5/10
4.- Phalanx XXII 4,5/10
5.- LG20000V27 4,0/10
6.- AnMon 509 2,5/10

It is clear that SOS performance at blitz and medium-time level is splendid. It
is only beated by the 'top 5' CB programmes. But the surprise doesn't finish
here. I will post later the results of my 'run the gauntlet' test at 'almost
standard' tournament time level against four of the top programmes in the world.
Don't miss it!.

Regards,

Tom
