This is a fine amount for a hash table: the Sapphire II also has 256K RAM and runs on a 16MHz H8. What kind of memory is this cartridge? Is it truely random-access memory (fast read/write of small amounts of data) or is it designed for storage (slow writes of large chunks of data)? For example, although the Palm handheld is advertised to have up to 8 MB of memory, it is only useable for slow storage.
