Well I know some gossip :) Was talking to Frederik Friedel ..... FF, as usual, was droning on about how friendly and close he was to Gary (that's Gary Kasparov, BTW, but we don't need to use his surname in such illustrious company :) ). I suggested that Gary wasn't talking to him anymore, FF said they had their differences ( !!!! ), but that he and Gary had been friends for such a long time, that these small ( !!!! ) problems were nothing. Also he and Gary will be in Oxford next Friday for a Deep Blue lecture that Gary (That's Kasparov BTW :) ) is giving. FF wouldn't invite me for the dinner he and Gary will be having later in Oxford, very rude I thought, but there you go :) Anyway, back to Junior. I, of course, congratulated Frederik on the performance of his empire. When one of the flies on the Frederik spider's web doesn't perform, there's always another, said I ........ Frederik said he had licenced and signed Junior a long time ago, he said. It a 'family' affair. Amir is also very close and friendly to guess who (Gary again), or so says Frederik. All very good and close 'relationships' all round. And of course Frederik has a very good and close relationship with Amir also, or so says Frederik. So there you have it: Frederik says they all have a very good and close relationship :) Presumably all the flies in Frederik's web have this very good and close relationship (get's boring, eh ?) Anyway, Frederik thanked me for awarding him the Kim il Sung a few months back (so he reads rgcc too), no problem said I; we have have a very good and close relationship, Frederik and I :) Chris Whittington BTW Frederik says he had a very good and close relationship with Kramnik as well .... very good and close relationships continued on page 94 ..........
