Probably there were few people reading the thread.  I recall being active for a
bit in that thread, then later ignoring it.  As a rule of thumb, a long thread
that is being posted to frequently by only two or three people has a reasonably
large probability of being uninteresting to others, and often it will be
ignored.  For this and other reasons, you may find that posting a public
complaint may be rather ineffective.  On the other hand, if sent moderator
email, a moderator will go and check out what's happening.

If you do think that making a public comment on general conduct is still the way
to go, perhaps a new post (as opposed to a reply somewhere down in a thread)
might be best.  Don't forget to include "Moderation:" (or "Mod:") at the
beginning of the title, so that people are aware of being relevant not at the
"computer chess" level, but at the "how this board works" level.
