Dan I couldn't agree with you more. Authors like Robert Hyatt, have paved the way ot new engines. Just the fact that he releases not only the code to people, but also makes every effort to have pre-compiled versions for Windows users, makes him invalueable to computer chess. I would honestly love to know the estimate of hours he has also put in giving "free" tech support to a free product.. He is a credit, and deserves more respect than some are willing to give.
