Subject: WAC.230 -- is it Whacked.230 ?

Here is WAC.230, for which the "right answer" is Rb4:
[D] 2b5/1r6/2kBp1p1/p2pP1P1/2pP4/1pP3K1/1R3P2/8 b - - acd 20; acn 175168255; acs
1000; bm Rb4; ce 247; id "WAC.230"; pv Rh7 Rb1 a4 Ba3 Rh5 Kg4 Kd7 Bb2 Bb7 Ba3
Ba6 Bb4 Rh7 Ba3;

But here we are after a4:
[D] 2b5/1r6/2kBp1p1/3pP1P1/p1pP4/1pP3K1/1R3P2/8 w - - acd 21; acn 180101195; acs
1001; ce -321; id "WAC.230 after a4"; pv Ba3 Rh7 Rb1 Rh5 Kg4 Bb7 Ra1 Kd7 Rb1 Kc7
Kf4 Kc6;

And here we are after Rb4:
[D] 2b5/8/2kBp1p1/p2pP1P1/1rpP4/1pP3K1/1R3P2/8 w - - acd 18; acn 183859758; acs
1000; ce -233; id "WAC.230 after Rb4"; pv cxb4 a4 b5+ Kxb5 Rb1 c3 Ba3 Kc4 Kf4
Kxd4 f3 Kd3 Rd1+ Kc2 Rc1+ Kd2 Rh1 c2 Bb2 d4 Bxd4;

And here we are after Rh7:
[D] 2b5/7r/2kBp1p1/p2pP1P1/2pP4/1pP3K1/1R3P2/8 w - - acd 20; acn 174240961; acs
1000; ce -321; id "WAC.230 after Rh7"; pv Rb1 a4 Kg4 Bb7 Bc5 Ba6 Ba3 Rh2 Kg3 Rh5
Kg4 Kd7 Bc5 Bb5 Rb2 Rh1 Ba3 Rh2 f3;

It seems from a fairly deep evaluation that the 'aftermath' of both a4 and Rh7
is worse for white than after Rb4. So the burning question is, is everybody
really positive that they have been getting the wrong answer all these years, or
are we just wearing the emporor's new clothes?
;-)

Equivalently, are we really sure that a4 and Rb7 are not just as good or even
superior?  If not, why not?
