Because my email request was not answered, I want to repeat my quest. On the main page of ICD the possibility is proposed to contact the ICD staff if something should be talked about the identity of the member. I told them that I had been asked by Mr. Kerrigan to give him my entry in an "online phonebook". I told them that I would agree if they would ask t-online about the identity of the account. Note that t-online.de is not made for anonymous membership. I wrote this because the suspicion against me is wrong. The newest step by the moderation board was an emailed request this time by Mr. Williams who asked me to give him my telephone number so that they could contact me plus an indication of an official telephone enquiry service where they could cross-reference my name with the phone number. However before I give such personal data to the moderation board I want to know on what grounds this is founded. In special I did not read anything in the charta of CCC about such methods. Could someone out of the staff of ICD explain what the ICD, what the moderation board, what in special Mr. R. Hyatt are willing to do if I would prove without a doubt that I am not the person, some members have confused me with? In the informations on the website of ICD it is said that exactly in such cases the ICD staff should be contacted. I ask for such contacts. I find it strange that our moderators behave as if they had such special rights. In view of the fact that many members are allowed to write messages with obviously anonymous names (KarinsDad or Pete R. come to mind), it is strange if others are forbidden to use pseudonyms. Is this only because some opinions are not wanted in CCC? Is it in special the debate about the question "Details about the event Kasparov vs. DB and IBM"? Already in that debate I was insulted by R. Hyatt although such insults are forbidden in this club. Although I succeeded in the deletion of some of his messages because they violated our charta. The most interesting fact is that names decide about the acceptance of members and not opinions and messages. Even more strange when the often mentioned person (Rolf Tueschen) is allegedly a legitimate (!!) member of CCC. At least I was informed about that fact. If I would have written against all warnings some outrageous postings I would understand why my membership should be questioned. But I got not a single warning! I ask the ICD staff and the moderation board to contact t-online.de. t-online could well clarify my identity. But I also want to ask what the ICD will do if the accusations against me are proven as false. Did those who are responsable not reflect about that possibility? Would it be not better if the membership from a really _correct_ account would be allowed until something against the charta of CCC would be written? Until these questions are not solved I see no possibility to discuss in this place. If the question of one's identity is used to prevent a free discussion of computerchess topics, this is against the charta of this forum. I expect the reaction of the ICD staff. Then I will reply the quest of the moderation board to their satisfaction. Hans Gerber
