1)It is not correct to say that computer A is 1000 times faster than computer B
unless computer A can do everything exactly 1000 times faster.

I think that in most of the cases the speed factor is dependent of the program
you use(for example K6-3 450 is clealry faster than k6-2 450 if you use chess
system tal but is not clearly faster if you use another program).

Does IBM say that the new Deep blue is exactly 1000 times faster in everything?

If they do not say it then what is the lower bound and the upper bound for the
speed difference?

2)It is not impotant what they say because I do not believe IBM after their
arrogant behaviour after the match against kasparov and the fact that they
talked about the match as a scientific experiment when it was not the case.

IBM lost the match against kasparov from my point of view(and not only kasparov)
because after the match I have no respect for IBM.

I understand that they won money but money is not everything in life.

3)Today I believe only things that users verified about IBM.
If IBM sells something and users say that it is 1000 times faster for their
applications then I believe it.
If only IBM say it then I do not believe it.

This is the result of IBM's behaviour after the match against kasparov.
