If you were really concerned about "protecting" the CCC, you could have e-mailed one or more of the moderators with constructive suggestions about how to avoid this supposed legal "problem" you think MAY exist (a fancy way of saying you have no idea whether it does or it doesn't). Sounds to me like you're just trying to make trouble.
