If you ever read it, you would know what I mean. It's not a Winboard championship, since the strongest programs (the commercials) are missing. It's a contest between most of the freely available WinBoard programs to determine approximately how strong the current versions are at "Standard" time controls (I don't like blitz.) Programs that constantly crash or that are thinly veiled clones [and don't acknowlege that fact] are not included. I think that a lot of the information about the strength of the chess programs that are available is mostly just hearsay. Might as well do a bit of math and find out what's what.
