The hotel bit was mine. My hotel was more or less fine (**). For fifty
bucks a night, it was alright. I don't know what the *** hotels are
like, but I doubt that Jaap got opulence for only twice the money. And
this is my only point, that it is doubtful that the ICCA guys stayed in
opulent surroundings. If they did, then I will be there too next time,
since this would represent pretty good value for the money.

There was a contract which everyone involved signed. Some details in
the contract were not adhered to by Titus. This is second-hand
information, as I have not seen the contract. But, for instance, I am
almost certain that the contract stated that Titus would provide sets
and clocks. These sets and clocks were eventually provided by David
Levy. Draw your own conclusion about phone lines and snacks.

I had a great time in Paris, and am thankful to both Titus and the ICCA
for providing us with this event. I think that too much effort spent
trying to assess blame for the bugs in the event can only annoy those
who did expend effort trying to make it a nice event, and can only deter
future sponsors.

Agreed entirely.

Likewise, it is possible to offer help at the tournament site.
