Actually, I do not understand what all this talk about "bad
organization"
or "disorganization" is about.
The tournament as a whole was *very well* organized -- the only
disconcerting
organizational flaws that I am aware of are:
(1) slower machines than promised ==> clearly AMD's fault,
(2) bad connection to outside world ==> not clear whose fault it
really was
but there was never a chance
to get
anything better than a phone
line
from inside the Palais de la
Bourse,
(3) no drinks on the first day ==> was immediately fixed on the next
day.
As for item (2), I can only say that the ICCA had prepared for
publishing daily
bulletins on the Internet *before* the event started. Frederic Friedel
was
announced to be responsible for this in early October.
Thence, daily Internet coverage was certainly planned since long by the
ICCA.
