Subject: What is Chinook

What is chinook-is it a hardware-software combination like deep blue is(was!)and
if so what is the hardware configuration-can the manufacturers not programme
this entity to play chess?

if it is purely software, running on the std Pcs then thats a pretty impressive
achievement
