I tried to play Comet B23 v B08 in Winboard, B23 never made a move and then I could hear the cpu working hard non stop with its noise. Winboard wasn't responding to any of my commands, then the blue screen came up with the message that the system had become unstable. That blue screen wouldn't go away, and CTRL-ALT-DEL did nothing so I hit reset, (probably a mistake). The machine rebooted and scanned files and when I went back to Winboard, the winboard.ini file was blank, so I reconstructed it. That did no good as WinBoard would not work anymore, so I knew it was that kind of night. After taking a break for a while I decided to download the latest Winboard and install that which was ok. Then as soon as I put the command lines in for the winboard engines that I have, the program wouldn't work. The dialog box comes up, "Fatal Error", "Unrecognized Argument ... " for almost every step in the winboard.ini file for the engines. If I eliminated one step it didn't like, another command line would come up as unrecogniozed next time, these lines had always worked. I probably should have gone to the beach today and left my computer alone, now my question is, How can I include the old command lines for my winboard engines and have the program still work? Mark
