You can download a modified version of my WinBoard.ini at my website. There's not of engines installed, but it contains everything needed. >I probably should have gone to the beach today and left my computer alone, >now my question is, How can I include the old command lines for my winboard >engines and have the program still work? I agree with the comment made by Aaron. Generally there's a few things you have to pay attention to: 1) Make sure you've got all the files needed. For the most part; program, opening book(s) and configuration file is enough. 2) The commandline must be correct. Comet just need the name of the executable (without .exe!) and a path. Other engines may differ and need commands like: xboard, xb, -hash, config.cui and so on. Theses parameters can be found for a specific program at http://www.in-trier.de/~quisinsky/schach/uebersicht.htm 3) Check if there's configuration files that determine hashsize, book on/off, ponder, tablebases and other changeable features. If you got 64Mb of ram you'll need to change some of the default values for hashsize. Hope this helps. Best wishes... Mogens http://home1.stofanet.dk/Moq/WinBoard.htm
