It runs a lot quicker, but not as quick as a native application. At one point I ran x86 Ferret on a 500 mhz Alpha, it did about 70K nps in the starting position. It was doing 95K nps on a P6/200 and maybe 160K nps when compiled native for Alpha. bruce
