>Chris, > >I think you are the only one who apparently seems to be unable to >discuss >these matters honestly and without pouring unfounded accusations or >flaming >sarcasm all over the place. > >=Ernst= Depends on your definition of DISCUSSIONS ! The question is, and here I agree with chris heavily, is it important to eat canapes from a 3star or 4star cook, served in the eiffel-tower, but not having a modem-connection, no pieces, no clocks, no paper and no drinks for the participants ??? The contrast between participants desires and ICCA-board desires seem to be totally different. I am not sure how much Mr.Levy or Mr.Marsland or Mr.Herik like these meals in the Eiffel-Tower with almost NO positive effect despite the fact that we sat in a loud area, only able to speak to a few persons, who get more and more drunken the later the evening comes, and a Mr.Kafka still within our group (He was able to come to the dinner-parties but unable to stand with us in the winner-ceremony ?!) . I have seen the same GLAMOUR and bourgeois lunch in munich and paderborn and I ask myself if this is important ! If the parties would not always be in high contrast to the organisation-level, I would not have anything against them. But when I relate the meals to the level of organisation and problems I ask myself if this was a competition in eating good meals or in playing strong chess !
