Ward - Baburin, Isle of Man open 1997

1. d4 d5 2. c4 dxc4 3. e4 Nc6 4. Nf3 Bg4 5. Bxc4 e6. 6. d5 exd5 7. Bxd5

[D]r2qkbnr/ppp2ppp/2n5/3B4/4P1b1/5N2/PP3PPP/RNBQK2R b KQkq -

From Chris Ward's "The Queens Gambit Accepted" :

7 ... Qf6!

"I guess that this move had previously been rejected for two reasons.
First, it takes away an obvious square from the g8-knight, while
castling queenside on the face of it may run into Bg5. It was perhaps
not unsurprisingly then, that my opponent admitted that 'Fritz' was
largley responsible for the development of this big opening
novelty."

It seems to be a clearly better move than e.g. Qd7 . Ward got slighly
worse and lost a tricky endgame.
