In CB 7.0, the sort options basically are by year, or ECO. Alternatively, I can
copy games to the clipboard (or search and the results appear in the clipboard),
and sort it by various criteria like ECO, moves, Elo, etc. - but only by one of
this criteria.

ChessBase 7.0 is my most important chess software, although the 7.0 version
doesn't include a complete playing environment (I just hope version 8 will have
that). I don't know some competitors like Chess Academy, Chess Assisitant etc.;
they also seem quite useful and feature-rich according to the press reviews.

Two powerful features of CB 7.0 for example are the player's index and the
tournament index (I don't know if the 6.0-demo already had them). Furthermore,
all the engines from CB's playing programs can be used; usually Fritz and some
others are included.
