Depends on your definition of "fastest computer". In the case of super computers, they depend on vector operations for their speed. Crafty doesn't vectorize at all. I doubt any super machine will come close to the 16 cpu alpha... and the 7M nps number I saw... although a 21264-based SMP box is going to be way faster...
