That is not the right price, I hope.  Dell and others sell 8-way boxes for
way under 100,000 dollars (US).

Yes.  A 'cluster' would be cheaper, but would require _lots_ of programming
changes to work on that platform.  A dual alpha would be cheaper and faster.
