I see the tide turning in some of the message headers and now people are apparently jumping ship. Deep Junior has already gone toe to toe with some of the very best players in the world and come out much better than I would have imagined at this time control. Quite frankly, I think it is more amazing than Deep Blue's performance against Kasparov, considering the equipment difference. I don't think that Deep Junior will lose the rest of the games. But even if it did, I would still be awesomely impressed by the incredible performance. It's amusing how with one win people are ready to proclaim D.J. world champion and with one loss, something inferior. Kraminik is one of the elite players in the world. A loss should not prove astonishing. Whatever the rest of the results are, Amir Ban and company deserve broad praise for their astonishing efforts.
