I guess that the minimum depth of deep Junior is about 9 plies.
I know that when Junior is in iteration 17 or 18 it means about minimum 9 plies
and about maximum 36 plies.
I know that Junior often needs a long time(more than an hour) to get iteration
that is bigger than 18 on pIII450.

You cannot compare Deep Junior with other programs by plies because Junior does
more extensions.

If you play a game between Junior and another program with the same fixed depth
and if you choose fixed depth 9 (Junior will search until iteration 17 in this
case) Junior will win easily because of this reason.

I suggest that people will stop to talk about ply depth because it is totally
unimportant.

I have not Deep Junior or Junior6a but I have previous versions of Junior and I
guess from seeing analysis of Deep Junior that was posted that the structure of
Junior was not changed and iteration 17-18 means the same.
